Description
The wines of the Susana Balbo Signature line are the maximum expression of Susana’s essence. Elegant, complex and disruptive, they account for the unparalleled creative audacity of the first woman winemaker in Argentina. In 2013, the quality of the grapes from a plot of Susana’s favorite vineyard in Paraje Altamira, Uco Valley, at 1,150 meters above sea level, caught her attention and she decided to vinify them separately. The wines were fermented in concrete egg with extended skin maceration for 30 days before aging in new French oak barrels for 14 months.
Tasting Notes:
A Malbec of great character and concentration that offers aromas and flavors of blackberries, blueberries, black olives and liquorice. It has fine, compact tannins, with a creamy texture and extremely long. It is an intense and deep wine, full-bodied and with great ageing capacity.
